I don't know how many 15 year old kids sit around and daydream about the Abbasid Caliphate, but there was at least one.

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted (more than anything else in the world) to help others shape and polish their rough ideas until they gleam like diamonds. I’d never even considered that this impulse of mine could be a job until 10th grade world history class, when I learned about the House of Wisdom. “Wait,” I said. “There used to be a place where your whole job was to sit around, think, and collaborate with other people?”

I was in awe. I daydreamed about traveling back to the Abbasid Caliphate because as far as I knew, the only place I could do what I wanted for a living was in 8th century Baghdad. Surely that couldn’t exist nowadays?

Through searching for a modern House of Wisdom, I recognized I’ve always had a knack for this work- When people come to me with their creative roadblocks, I invariably give solutions I think are obvious only to find that nobody saw them in the first place. I can shift my point of view, pull the focus of the camera way outside the box and get a nice look at the big picture. It’s a versatile skill, and because of that I’ve collaborated with everyone from screenwriters to RPG creators to public speakers, and every endeavor in-between. I love doing it, and I’m damn good at it, too.

When searching for my dream job in already established infrastructures didn’t yield anything, I decided to build my own House.

So come on in, take off your coat. There are snacks in the pantry, coffee in the pot, and- don’t mind the dog, he’s all bark and no bite. Pull up a seat, make yourself at home, and let’s get to work together.

Asher helped me become the best, most creative version of myself that I could be. It’s not often that someone can combine the pure joy of creating with actual skills and good process needed to execute — all while sprinkling on some proactive, strategic suggestions. I’m now able to focus on the most important pieces of existing projects or pursue new opportunities — all of which are better.

Asher not only brings dedication, organization, and direction to the projects they work on, but a vision that makes them a keen collaborator, and an indispensable part of any team. When working with Asher as a creative producer, I know that I can throw out a few of the ideas that I’m thinking about, and they will come back with not only a finished product, but one that advances the storytelling and mission of the project.

When Asher asks me questions about my stories and worlds, they’re always questions that I don’t anticipate and are SUPER helpful for me to consider!
